Support across life’s essential needs
CSBG services and activities address employment, education, income and asset building, housing, nutrition, emergency services, and healthcare. Program priorities are informed by local community needs assessments.

Elisha Washington: A lifeline when it mattered
After losing her job and facing eviction, Elisha turned to Passage Home. Rental assistance helped clear her past-due balance and put her ahead for the next month, while staff helped her explore job opportunities. She has since received a new job offer and hopes to return as a volunteer to pay that support forward.

Yaqaja Brown: Setting goals and moving forward
Yaqaja, also known as YaYa, joined Passage Home’s Self-Sufficiency program in January 2026. She participated in a Workforce Development Cohort and connected with a paid work experience through NCCAA. Passage Home helped with temporary childcare so she could work. With continued support, her next goal is securing housing for her family.
